TOPIC: ISSUE133 - "The problems of modern society have led many people to complain: 'We live in terrible times.' Yet, given the choice, no one today would prefer to live in any other time.

This statement observes that no person in contemporary would prefer to live in the past eras, despite that they incessantly complain current miserable times. I fundamentally identify with what the arguer asserts. Undoubtedly, to live in ancient times is the last choice people will make. From my viewpoint, complaining is merely a method of relieving their feelings, actually none among them is eager to set time back.

As a threshold matter, life is hard for ordinary people by and large. The conditions of medicine during the antique eras were not as developed as contemporary, and even a flu taken as an unserious disease nowadays might cause lung cancer without imperative care. Besides, dirty water is another reason of preventing persons today from considering going back, because no one wants to deteriorate his or her stomachache in result of drinking dirty water aside from those idiots. Fortunately, fatuous persons do not belong to the main stream in contemporary.

Additionally, barely no entertainment existed as result of no power supply. There were no basketball, football or music under past tough circumstances. People today mainly hook on playing basketball or watching NFL, a tournament in America, after they go home from work places, and these entertainments play a paramount role in daily life. For example, the World Cup, a football game takes place every four years, is one of the most important activity around the world, in which qualified countries send their own team to join in. People at the front of TV keep shouting for their mother league with great passion, and can they endure the life without this attracting activity? The answer is of course not.

A third thing has to do with tough communications. Contemporary society has invented a variety of mysterious goods that make life easier for person. This is especially true in the realm of communications, such as mobile phone and high ways. With respect to cell phone, people can chat with one another directly with no delay, and this is vital for business men who might have plenty of urgently matters to handle. They may miss the opportunity of producing fortune without making tools of cell phone to make decisions on time. Consequently, it doesn't make sense that they really prefer to live in the ancient times.

On balance, life in the past was much tougher for livings, whereas modern technology creates variety of easy living materials. Given the choice of dating back, on no account persons today would actually want to stay in inconvenient past time.
